Mississippi Mud Cake FAIL

I have been dying to make a Mississippi Mud Cake. I researched several recipes and decided to use Paula Dean's. I thought I couldn't go wrong with Paula. I.was.wrong.

I was up at 5:00 this morning making this cake. I got finished around 6:45. It took forever!

Here is where I got the recipe. There is even a cute little video of her making this cake. Which I watched twice.

Anyway, I was excited to make it and wanted to do another cooking post with something that I was actually excited to make. But this did not turn out how I wanted.
